Poem: CLIMAX

CLIMAX

Please don’t touch me
Please don’t speak
I lay here vulnerable
weak

The next 12 seconds
Let me be still
Don’t move
I am not kidding, for real

Don’t laugh, don’t moan
Don’t ask, don’t groan
Leave me be, for a second
on my own

Affixing my eyes on my lids
I see red stars, space
My heartbeat falls
The end of the race

My rapid descent
I near the ground
Not even remembering
The highest peak I just found

Its over, now I rest
Bathed in afterglow
Still electric
Down to my tippy toe

My eyes ready to open
Exhale through my nose
Done, totally done
I suppose

Don’t look at me
Don’t giggle or ask
Go about your way
Just let this last

Let its natural trail
Fade away
Giving me a reason
To be with you, another day

This is wonderfully done. It has a lovely rhythm and I can imagine this going through someone’s mind after a nice orgasm. My thoughts tend to run more towards “More! Now!” but hey, that’s just me ;-)
